(Received August 17, at 9 a.m.) Captain Giles is scheduled to arrive at Selfridgc Field, Detroit, to-day from Wyandotte. Ho will thou start for Wellington. Captain Giles intended to take off on August 15, but discovered that acid, seeping from a, detective storage battery, had rotted a largo portion of the fabric from the lower portion of the fuselage. Captain Giles declared that the acid disabled tho piano from entering the Dole race, because lie would bo unable to repair in time.
