WIDOW’S CLAIM AGAINST COUNTY [Pkh United Press Association,] ■INVERCARGILL, May IS, At the Supreme Court Lucy Charlotte Witty, a widow, claimed from the Southland County Council £L,oOO damages for the death of her husband, who was struck by a motor car driven by a servant of the corporation, Joan 'Guy Dennison, who has since left , the dominion. Witty was cycling at night on the right side of the road, when ho was run down, and plaintiff contended that the damage to Dennison's car cjsresponded with what. might be expected from such a collision. The jury awarded £BO7, with costs.
