LONDON., March 29.—Messrs Whiteley and Co. and Messrs Selfridge, and Co., universal providers, announce that they are amalgamating. DOMINION LABORATORY APPOINTMENT. A Wellington I‘.A. message states that Mr Miles A. Barnett, M.Sc., has been appointed physicist to the Dominion Laboratory. [Mr Barnett is the third son of J)r L. E. Barnett, of this city. He took his degree at Otago Uiiiveisilv, and is at present studying at Cambridge "University.] OAIRY CONTROL BOARD. The Dairy C’enli.u Board’s meeting to-day lasted all the forenoon. At 1 o'clock the chairman saw time a deputation irom uie meeuug of companies held at Palmerston North had waned on the hoard, and presented the resolutions carried at that meeting.
