STATEMENT IN LEVIN TNAGEBY [Per United Press Association.] PALMERSTON N., November 19. The circumstances surrounding the tragedy at Levin on the morning of November 5 were inquired into this morning, when inquests were held concurrently on Margaret Abigail Sloman, the wife of William George Sloman, and on Rita Sloman, their daughter; and later two charges of murder were preferred against Sloman. After hearing the evidence, including the _ reading of letters left _ by Sloman stating that he had sent his family to Heaven, as his brain., seemed to have gone, and he could not leave them' behind, the coroner returned a verdict of death in both instances resulting from injuries inflicted by Sloman, who was committed for trial on a charge of the murder of his wife and daughter.
