BRITISH COAL STRIKE
UNEXPECTED MINERS' VOTE SETTLEMENT TERMS REJECTED DELEGATE CONFERENCE TO DECIDE. Press Association—By Telegraph-Copyright LONDON, November 18. (Received November 19, at 12.35 p.m.) It is estimated that the unexpected swing of the miners’ vote will result in 100,000 being against the proposals. Mr Cook declared that the future policy of the miners rested entirely with the delegate conference on Friday. He said that the only tiling certain was that the miners had overwhelmingly rejected the proposals. The miners’ delegates have returned from the coalfields. It is known that no recommendation will be made at tomorrow’s conference, which is therefore free to pursue its own course.
