COMPENSATION CASE
CLAIM AGAIHST TIMBER COMPANY [Peb United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, November 19. Reserved judgment was given by the Chief Justice in the Supreme Court in the case in which Patrick Brick claimed £BOO from the Stewart Timber, Company as compensation for injuries received as the result of an accident in June last year. Plaintiff had his leg fractured as the result of logs tailing from a broken sling. His Honor awarded plaintiff £550 Is 6d, with costs to scale, after giving credit for the amount paid as compensation under the Act.
