NURSE GETS DAMAGES
BREACH OF PROMISE [Pant United Press Association.] WANGANUI, November 19. In a claim for £2,000 damages for breach of promise of marriage Kathleen .Scanlon, a nurse, obtained damages of £2OO from Alexander Hannah, of Palmerston North, formerly managing director of Manson and Barr, and also a shareholder in the firm.
The parties met last December, and the engagement was a short one, starting in February and only lasting a few mouths.
