(Received November 18, at 10 a.m.) Injuries continue to seriously reduce the Maoris’ strength, Potaka sprained an ankle against the’ Harlequins, and will not be available lor a fortnight, Barclay strained his back and cracJced his ribs against. Newport, and will probably not play against Blackheath on Saturday, and Gemmeil has not recovered from a broken bone in his ankle against Lyonnais. Stewart fractured his nose against Gloucester, and Bell went to the hospital a fortnight ago for the removal of an abscess under a tooth, and, although ho played against Llanelly, he is still under the dentist. Rika, Tatana, and Olson are suffering from “ cauliflower ” ears owing to scrumming. Matches have been arranged at Cardiff against the Welsh ex-service men on December 29, a charity match at London against Wakefield’s fifteen on January 1, Gasgow on January 3, and Edinburgh on January 5. (Received November 18, at 11 a.m.) Souvenirs, the idea of _ which originated from the Welsh national football anthem, ‘ Sospan Fach Anglice,’ or ‘ Little Saucepan,’ containing red, which is the national football color, have been presented to the Maoris, Parata and Barclay receiving silver saucepans decorated with scarlet ribbon, and the others miniature replicas. V/EAK IN DRIBBLING LONDON, November 17. The ‘ Daily Mail ’ expresses the opinion that the Maoris have not been coached sufficiently in dribbling, in which they are most ineffective. They rarely take the ball 2yds, and this results in endless loss of opportunities.
