CORRESPONDENCE

RADIO BROADCASTING. TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I wish to ventilate a grievance which license holders have against the local broadcasting station, the service from which is not commendable. This station is now silent for three days out of the seven each week, and it never has an afternoon programme as given in Auckland and Christchurch, it appears to me that the Broadcasting Company, the headquarters of which, I understand, is in Christchurch, is not giving Dunedin subscribers a fair deal. 1 am informed that the company gets ‘Jos out of the 30s paid for licenses, and so far as the Dunedin station is concerned it certainly does not give value for it.— I am, etc., A Subscp.ihee. November 16.
