(Received November 15, at 10 a.m.) The arrival at Hongkong of the French steamer Hanoi has revealed dar ing piracy. When ninety miles off Hongkong armed desperadoes overpowered the officers, killing one and wounding two. Chinese guards took command, and set a course for Bias Bay,.where the vessel was abandoned, after the removal of 50,000 dollars’ worth of bullion, Maritime Customs money, and 20,000 dollars from the passengers. While the pirates weio controlling the vessel a British destroyer was sighted, but the Hanoi’s captain was threatened with instant death if he-signa!led.
