Mr W. S. Monroe said that the people of Newfoundland were entirely satisfied with the Elag under which they liver! and with the Imperial Government’s ability to manage its affairs. They did not even require consultation on foreign policy. He felt it was a reflection that Britain's oldest colony was the only dominion that was not giving preference tj British goods, and he hoped that this would be rectified.
