COMBINED CHOIR CONCERT

Chou: work, which has appealed to ihe music-loving public of Dunedin of recent date, will bo further in evidence »n Saturday evening, when the comiined Baptist choirs, under the baton »f Mr Herbert Prowse, will give a grand loncert in the Hanover Street Church. Included in a well-arranged programme are Handel’s ‘ 0 Father, Whoso Almighty Power’ and the ‘Hallelujah Chorus,’ Adam’s part song ‘ Comrades in Anns,’ Shelling’s ‘ Hark, Hark, My Soul.’ and the beautiful ‘ Manx Fisherman’s Hymn.’ The soloists include Misses Mary Campbell, Phyllis Clare, Thelma Lupp, Nellie Boyle, Gertie Ashton, and B. Rawstron, Messrs J. D. M'Kechnie, L. A. North, J. Paterson, and H. Prowse. _ Sir G. Hendry will be heard in a musical monologue and Mr Upton Harvey will preside at the organ. By special request, Faulkiner’s Male Choir will give the two competition selections, ‘ The Viking Song ’ (Colc-ridge-Taylor) and ‘lt’s Oh to be a Wild Wind!’ (E. Elgar).
