BIBLE CLASS SECTION The Bible Hass section of the Youth Workers’ Institute continued its Hirelings on Monday evening in the Waddell Hall, when tho Rev. A. He did not lay down definite rules, but principles, and “Ho spake with authority.’ His method was twofold, using the parable very frequently, thus singling out those who really wished to hear and those who were uninterested; then Ho taught largely by conversation, both asking and answering questions. In tho matter of His teaching Christ dealt with throe groat themes-—God, man, and Himself. tic showed men God as a Father and His sovereignty over man, thus depicting the two groat relationships of home and State. Christ was most appreciative of the good in man; Ho saw human good, and knew human sin, and in seeing tho best and knowing tho worst. Ho saw that every man needed a saviour. What Ho taught about Himself was that He was the Son of God and tho Son oi .Man. A vote of thanks was passed by acclamation to the speaker for his very fine address.

The meeting then divided into sections, Mr Cl. Manson speaking to the young men on ‘ Tho Bible ('.'lass and the Church,’ stressing the import mice of the Bible class taking an active interest in the church, its main business being that of soul-winning and Christian service. He pleaded for closer cooperation among church leaders, and strongly advocated tho establishment of a church cabinet in every congregation. In this way a greater spirit of unity and helpfulness was fostered. In tho young women’s section Miss Kelson spoke on the place of music and worship in the Bible class. She pointed out the difference between _ opening exorcises and worship, stressing the need of suitable hymns, Scripture reading, and the training of members to take part in tho service. The need for preparation of worship services was strongly stressed, but if carefully planned the whole of tho Bible class meeting would make for reverence, deeper interest, and the proper training in all that was highst and noblest.
