BURGLARS IN CITY

Last night burglars werp busy in the block of buildings at the corner of Stuart and Castle streets, three shops being mitered by back windows. The shops were those of Mr Stool (fruiterer), Mr Canto(tobacconist), and Messrs 11-iach and M’Lennan, Money was stolen from the till in two of the shops. A St. Hilda resident also reports having received a call from some nocturnal visitor, who went away disappointed, no money being looso about the premises.
