GOOD TEMPLARY

Its last meeting for the year was held by the Hope of Dunedin Lodge on Wednesday evening in the lodge room, Dowling street, Sister Crawford, C.T., presiding. Arrangements for the first, meeting of the year were completed, the programme to be "New Year festivities." The programme for the evening was arranged and provided by the secretary, Sister E. Crawford. Christmas cards were handed to all members, and a large Christmas cake was given to the treasurer for guessing the correct -weight. This was afterwards sampled bv all present, and then games peculiar to Christmas were indulged in. The treasurer handed "in his financial report, showing that they had received half of the sum required- to claim the donation promised by one of the. members,. The C.T., in conveying the season's greetings to all, said she hoped they would come back with renewed zeal to make a successful, growing, and profitable lodge, as symbolised in the emblem and" found in the motto "Faith, Hope, and Charity." The National Anthem and 'Auld Lang Syne' were- song heartily at the close.
