Mr G. Fitzpatrick, formerly private secretary for Mr W. Holman when the was premier of New South Wales, is now an associate director on the Tivoh Theatres, Ltd., and is representing that interest with 'The Man from Toronto' Company now in New Zealand.
There passed away on Saturday at her residence, Hataitai, Mrs Anne M'Conrisky one of New Zealand's early settlers The late Mrs M.TJpmisky was 71 years of a* C) and was well kno\vn both in Wellington and in South Taranaki. She experienced many of the struggles which fell to the lot of New Zealand's' pioneers, and went throngh.-the Maori Wars in South Taranaki. For over 40 years she was a resident of Patea, arriving before the first railway went through. The name of Charles Edward a pupil of Mr Harold' Browning, was inadvertantly omitted from the published list of candidates who recently passed the L.A.B. examination of the Royal Academy and Royal College of Music
Mr G. A. Lewin, Town Clerk, left this morning toNspend a holiday in the south. Before leaving the Tokomairiro High School to take up her new duties as first assistant at Tapanui, Miss A. G. Graham was presented by her fellow-teachers with a hand mirror as a memento of her time at the school, and as a token of goodfellowship.
