Tho feature of the ra-oaramme presented was a series of tableaux vivants arranged bv Mrs Martir, who "deserves every credit" for the manner in which tho grouping was carried out and m tho coaching of those who took part. Many of the items were worthv ot warm commendation, and the audience showed their appreciation by recalling almost every soloist. The tableaux wore : ■ Gentlemen, The King-' solo by Mr C. S. Mvirin) ;'' Mary Queen or Scots on the Night Before Her Execution'; 'Chorus, Gentlemen,' solo by Mr S. t Lay/son); 'The Knighting of Sir I'ramus Drake, and Britannia, the following songs being rendored during the staging of the last-named: 'Rule Britannia/ 'lt's the Navy' 'Drake's Drum,' 'The Midshipmitc. 5 and 'Sons of tho Sea.' Mrs C. E. 'Statham and party contributed a bright little, comedietta, which, was well acted, but which was perhaps a little too long. Miss Kathleen Glendining recited ' The Hero of tho Cvtmmune 7 ; Misses Heywood and Barclay sang ' In the Dusk of the Twilight,' _ and 'Till We Meet;' and little Sylvia Taylor danced a pas soul, 'Wood Nymph' in a most finished style. Mr K Heywood was the accompanist.
