"THAT YE LOVE ONE ANOTHER."

TO THE EDITOR.

Sir, —It is a long time since any local leader has afforded me so much pleasure as yours of yesterday's date, entitled "Europe's Hunger Crisis." I -willingly send you my mite to help, as far aa°{fc may, the hungering and needy ones—children ajid others—of Vienna or other parts of impoverished Central Europe. Th?» amount enclosed (£6) represents the first fortnight's pay of last month, and mav each pound of the £5 note be constituted to represent one point of the Star of Peace —the points then to read " That—ye—lov© —<ms —another." The remaining pound will stand representing the Eastern name appended to this letter for the "oneness of all, in a'J." What-we do to others we first do to the self. In the particular sense, we do to our little selves—in the general sense, we do to the Great Self, in and of which all and everything has existence.. In being unkind to another, one is at once unkind to oneself, and sowing imkindne&s in the vast universe, and being ever true to oneself one can never be untrue to others.

Your kindly suggestion and lead surely augur move for future happiness and peace than all the grand fleets and martial preparedness. Better always, is it not, that a people be loved than feared? And herein lies the better security, for love alone the law. May the movement you so nobly place before your readers proper, and may you find full happiness in thus aiding tho comfortless.—l am, etc., Ufanishad. [We gratefully acknowledge the receipt of our correspondent's £6.—Ed. B.S.]

TO THE EDITOR.
