SUDDEN DEATHS
Mr Robert Dow, well known as a builder in years gone by, died suddenly at his home, 189 Car-gill street, vesta-day". Deceased, who was 73 years "of" age, had apparently enjoyed good health, 2nd on Saturday took part in a bowling match with tho Dunedin Club. Yesterday morning the family attended church as usual, and on their return found deceased lvitig dead in the bath. Dr Newlands "was called in, but could only pronounce life extinct. Deceased was acting as building inspector for the John M'Glashan College Committee, and was supervising ths erection of a new schoolhouse. He leaves a widow and six children. An inquest was held late this afternoon. An elderly man named Thomas Henrv Eason was a passenger by. the Moroingtoii car to town about 2 o'clock this afternoon, when he suddenly took ill on the way down High street. The car was stopped and Dr O'Neill was called to examine him. pronounced life to be extinct. The body was removed to tlia. morgue, to there await an inquest. Deceased was a, wool-classer bv occupation, and resided at 21 Picardv street, Mornington. A P.A. message from Blenheim states: Leonard Humphries, a wellknown mine manager at Wakamarino, was accidentally killed during mining operations. No details are to hand. Edward Cleveland, aged 67 years, who resided with his wife and family in M'Bride street, South Dunedin, was found dead in his house last evening. His daughter returned home at 8.45, and going to her father's bedroom noticed him lying on the floor. He was half-undressed and life was extinct
