WELLINGTON CENTRAL
MR MACK'S CANDIDATURE, At a largely-attended meeting of the Hillside branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, held last evening, a motion condemning Mr M. J. Mack's action in opposing the official Labor candidate for Wellington Central, and calling upon him to resign his position as general secretary of tho A.S.R.S., was lost, and the following motion was carried: That, having regard to the success that has attended tho efforts of Mr M. J. Mack during his term of .office, extending over a period of 10 years, as general secretary of the A.S.R.S., also his work in tho formation of tho Transport Federation, wo consider ha is admirably fitted to represent Labor in' Parliament. We therefor© congratulate Trim on his candidature, and wish him every success at tho poll. And, further, knowing Mr Mack to be a. man of high character, possessing ability and resource, we strongly urge the electors of Wellington Central to record their votes in his favor on Thursday next.
