'THE STRONG WAY'
EVERYBODY'S THEATRE.
For the change of programme screened for tho first time to-day the management of Everybody's Theatre has secured a powerful drama entitled ' Tho Strong Way' to head the bill. Jano Elvidge as Eunice Torrence, a girl who, at her mother's insistent bidding, marries a s !«an for his money, although she was in love with another Don Chad wick, plays the part with 'fine power and charm. _ The play leads up to an intensely thrilling situation, when a murder has been committed, and tho police track tho supposed fugitive to Eunice's room, to which, by the way, she had previously forbidden her husband ever mora to enter. They find Chadwick hidden in her wardrobe, but by a most daring and brilliant move she saves him. The price she pays to do so, however, is a terrible one. Tho position becomes extremely complicated owing to tho fact that Eunice believes Chadwick to have fired the shot while he thinks it was she. The settings of the picture are fine to a degree, and probably no screen ever reproduced, more beautiful gardon scenes. In addition there is a remarkable cabaret scene, with an exhibition of fancy skating which is quite a revelation. The supporting subjects are : ' Topical Budget,' 'Bullies and Bullets' (comedy), 'American Switzerland' (scenic), and a chapter of *A Lass of the Lumberlands.'
