About 40 freezing chamber hands employed by (he Auckland Fanners' Freezing Company and the Westfield Freezing Company, at the. Southdown awl Ilorotiu works of the former, and at the Westfield works o.i the latter, are on strik,e. i be men recently submitted demands as the basis for a new agreement, representing an inrmiso in wages. Those the employers considered unreasonable, a? thov are already paying move Ilian is paid for the same work in other parts of the Dominion.
