WESTPORT COAL MINERS
REPORTED THAT OUTPUT IS TO
BE RESTRICTED.

WEST/PORT, February J3. Owing to the" alleged, refusal of the coal owners to meet the Miners' Federation in conference, it is understood that the miners at Denniston have determined to restrict the output of coal TYom that mine, and are limiting their earnings to 12s per day. r'rom inquiries made, it is learned that the Westport Coal Company have not been requested to hold a conieronce by either the Minors' Federation or the district unions. Also, the Westport Coal Company are not members of the- Coal Owners' Association.
it is said that the Granitv Miners' Union, at a meeting on Monday night, decided to continue work without restriction at the Milierton mine.
