Congress has passed a Naval Appropriation of £80,000,000.
President Wilson has renewed his demand (that Germany shall release the Yarrowdale's crew.

Samuel Sproat, whose, name appeared in yesterday's ballot, kit Dunedin with the Otago quota of the 11th Reinforcements, but was rejected at T re. nth am. He then went to Auskalia. where he succeeded in passing the medical test, and loft for the front with the. Australian Tunnelling Corps. Ho was killed in action in May of last year. He was the youngest brother of Mr Robert Sproat,* 206 George, street, Cunedin.
