LONDON, February 11. Austrian official; Enemy counter-attacks at Gorizia broke down. We took prisoner a further _ 370 men. Italian aviators bombed Trieste.
Italian semi-off.cial: The Austrians recently repeatedly attacked in an endeavor wo eject the Italians from their advanced positions east of Gorizia. An intense bombardment was followed bv infantry advances and desperate fighting. Some positions were captured, " but ° counterattacks recovered all the ground lost, excepting a few .advanced trench elements. Hundreds of Austrian dead were left on the field.
The ‘ Daily Chronicle’s 1 correspondent states that in the Gorizia front lino of trenches the system on both sides Jfos been elaborately developed during the recent quiet months. The trenches arc sometimes within half a dozen cards of each other, and in other places the parapets are separated by only an impassable cocoon of entanglements. The bills everywhere arc covered with a bewilderin'" complication of galleries, tunnels, and races.
