RICA FIGHTING.

LONDON, February 11. The ‘ Daily /Mail’s ’ Petrograd correspondent reports that the Russians hold their gains in the Riga district on a front of seven miles. The Germans have concentrated all their available- forces in attempts to dislodge them. The heaviness of the enemy losses recalled • those at the battle of Verdun. The Russians, by holding the Ikkul line, threaten Mitau and the whole of tho German left flank.

An army order found on prisoners advised tho eating of crows as an excellent and nutritious food.
