(Received February 13, at .10.35 a.m.) In the House of Commons Mr J. F. Hope, one of the Lords of the Treasury, speaking on behalf of the Government, said that Turkey had repeatedly refused to allow the American Ambassador to visit the ramps in which British prisoners were interned.

Iho British Government, he added, believed that the conditions of the officers were tolerable, but the conditions of the men were deplorable, ami the Government were making efforts to obtain some improvement.
