BATHS FOR THE TRENCHES
New bath caravans and motor fight operating theatres for the Belgian army wore inspected by the King and Queen recently. Kadi van carries 12 light steel baths, sft Ain long by 2ft 2in wide, nested one inside, tho other. Along the whole length of the van, on both sides, are fixed roller-controlled waterproof sheetings for forming tents, and thus ensuring privacy. Each tent houses six baths, th.e_ water for which will be heated by petroleum. These, novel bathing-machine* will bo- drawn by horses from place to place, wherever water c-in he obtained from rivers -and streams, ami it will be possible to take them quite near the trenches.
