Ihs Aloeraki, which arrived at Wellington yesterday from Sydney, brought 75 saloon ami. 36 steerage passengers and 730 tons of cargo for New Zealand. She is to leave Wellington this evening for Lvttelton.

Tho_ Kurow is at present discharging her Newcastle coal cargo at Wellington. Iho vessel will afterwards go (.0 Picton to load chaff for Onelmnga. From the, totter port the Kurow will proceed to Kaipara to load timber for Sydney. The Manuka, which arrived at Sydney last evening; fi-oni Wellington, will leave the New South AY,ales port to-day for Hobart. She will return to Sydney on Fobruarv 19. and is scheduled' to leave them on February 22 for AA'ollington and Lvttelton.

The three-masted scow Cathkit. formerly known as the Arrah-na-Pogne, which went ashore at the entrance to tire Manning River (New Smith AA T nles) at flic end of January, was eventually refloated. According to a cable message from Sydney, Hie vessel has loaded her cargo of hardwood at Manning River and sailed for Whangaroi.
