PAGEANT PLAY

A meeting was held in Mr E. S. Wilson's board room yesterday afternoon to set up a committee in connection with the production of the pageant play ‘The Sv.iu'L’ which has been written by Mrs O. •L U. Aapto.r, and will be produced in Ih's Majesty’s Theatre on October 26 and ,in aid 0) 1 1 > 0 local Bed Cross Society and the St. John Auxiliary -Military Hospital, Knehmd. Mrs Napier reported that tho play "was well ;n band, and rehearsals had been held f»r some time. It was resolved that those present form themselves into a committee. It is expected that this novel play will appeal strongly to the Dunedin public, arid that the two beneficiaries should con* siderahly benefit by these performances.
