The Inspector of Awards (Mr L D Browett) proceeded against John Mowat (forwhom Mr Irwin appeared) for a breach of the Dunedin and Suburban Drivers’ interim award in that defendant, while a driver in the employ of J. M. Brown, coal dealer, of Roslyn, failed to make the neentries in the time book. Mr I r . win said that the breach was admitted and it was only a question of penally’ The employer had already been fined iii connection with the same matter.—Mr Browett detailed the circumstances, and said the defendant did not look upon this breach as a serious one.—His Worship imposed a nominal fine of Is.
