A recent Gazette contains notice of appointments, promotions, transfers, etc., of officers on headquarters staffs and officers, warrant officers, and non-commissioned officers on district staffs. The following concern the Otago military district ; Colonel Joseph Oowie Nichols, V.D., A.D.0., Commander Otago Mounted Rifles Brigade, to be officer commanding (temporary) Otago military district. Major Henry Alexander Cooper, 1.G.5., to be general Staff officer, Otago military district. Captain Robert Nicholas Johnston Fraser, N.Z.S.C.. to be assistant quarter-master-general, Otago military district.
