ITALIAN SUCCESSES IN THE TRENTINO. ROME, October 4. A communique states : Climbing, under enemy fire, precipitous gullies at the head of the Asmon-Brent Valley, we captured the. second peak of Colbricon. Another force in Carnia, by an outflanking movement, captured a peak 2,776 metres high near Pizzocollina. The enemy abandoned arras and ammunition. Semi-official ; The capture of the second summit of Colbricon is important, as an enemy trench hitherto prevented any further advance towards the bottom of the Travignolo Valley. The Italian troops caused the enemy to hastily abandon 10 strongly organised entrenchments and retreat along the northern slopes, pursued by fire from the Italian batteries. Many dead were found in the captured position!
