_ The monthly meeting of the Women's Christian Temperance Union was held in Y.M.C.A. Building on Tuesday, taking the form of a social afternoon *to celebrate Franchise Day. (Miss Bessie Thompson gave a. recitation, Miss M’Carthy sang, and Mrs Perryman gave a very interesting and instructive address, which was much appreciated by those present. A vote of sympathy was passed for all those kitelv bereaved by the war. Four new members were initiated.
