A letter of .sympathy was forwarded to Sister Elizabeth from the committee owing to the loss of her mother. Several cases weje discussed and dealt with according to their needs. In tho Supreme Court at Auckland yesterday tho jury returned a verdict of ‘‘ Not guilty” in the case of Tuke Tuke Kanara, a follower of Rua, who was charged with intention to do grievous bodily harm to Constable Skinner by attempting to discharge a gun at him'at Maungapohatu on April. 2—the date of Rua’s arrest.
