UNIVERSITY COUNCIL
A special meeting of the University Council was held this afternoon. It was reported that Dr W. Marshall Macdonald had resigned as tutor in medicine. The council thanked him for his services for the last nine years, and the Medical Committee were authorised to fill the vacancy. It was also decided that the arrangements necessary for the establishment of a refrigerating plant in connection with the Medical School be left to the Vice-Chan-cellor and Mr Walker, with power to accept a tender. The council then went into committee.
