GAELIC SOCIETY
The Gaelic Society held their monthly meeting last evening in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Rattray street. The Chief (Mr Uugald M'Pherson) occupied the chair, supported by Mr Dickinson and Chieftain iv<;flueth Cam-eron. The Chief extended a hearty welcome to the High Street school life and Drum Band, and congratulated them on carrying off first prize at tho recent competitions. Tho band rendered a selection, which was received with applause. The programme was of a varied character, and was much appreciated by the audience. Tho items were as follow ; —Gaelic song (‘ Ho Ro M’mhairi Lurach’), Mr M'Reth; humorous recitation, Mr Munro; seantreubhais and Highland fling, Miss Loudon: Gaelic songs (.* Theid Is Gun, Theid i Beam’ ‘Air Fal-al-al-o,’ ‘Ho Ro Mo Nighean Bonn Choid beach ’), Air Mailer; Hear a’Bhala.,’ Miss MacKechnie; song, Land of Hoses,’ Miss M‘Rae; humorous recitations. Misses Eager; ‘ Robin Adair’ fl’id ‘ Annio Laurie.’ Mrs Baxter; Irish jig. Miss Rita Frame. Miss Dusdon .plnved the accompaniment**.
