MINING
The Rise and Shine No. 1 dredge was employed nearly all last week in preparing to work the eastern half of the cut. which is expected to give fair returns when tho face has been squared up. There will probably bo a wash-up this week. No. 2 dredge made 12ft ahead on a cut of 210 it, with a depth ranging from 38ft to 44rt. Some 'worked mround was met with during the week;
