Fat Cattle.— l 67. A fair-sized yarding of mediuan quality cattle. Prices were much on a par with rates ruling last week. At the commencement of the sale prices were easier hy about Is 6d per head, but as the sale progressed competition became keener, and last week’s rates were reached and maintained. Quotations:—Best wethers 34s to 565, extra, to 46s 9d; medium, 31s to 325; inferior, 26s to z,Bs ; best ewes, 34s to 565, extra, to 41s; medium, 28s to 306; inferior. 21s to 24a. Lambs —A few of the new season's lambs sold up to 335. Pigs.—There was a small yarding 0 f fat pigs, which sold amder keen competition oa a par with last, week's rates. -Quotations: Choppers, to £6; prime baconers, £5; good, £4 10s; medium, £4;, best porkers, £3 10s; medium, £2 15s. There was a large yarding of stove pigs. Several pens of good weaners sold at an advance on last week’s rates. Quotations: Stores, to 40s; slips, 335; weaners, 15s to 295. Store Cattle.—There was a-, small yarding, consisting fox the most part of'poor cows and young cattle. Dairy Cattle.—There was a medium yarding. Any cows dose to profit sold well under keen competition.
