! QUEEN'S THEATRE. A fine film, 'The Wild Goose Chase,' by ; the lasky Famous Players' Company, was ; the big attraction at the Queen's Theatre •:. to-day. Iria Claire, the musical comedy \ actress, appears in the leading role, and is . supported by Tom Forman.' Tho picUire opens in sunny France, where two noble grandfathers decide to leave somo millions of francs each to their respective granddaughter and grandson, provided they marry. The joyous news is communicated to ™*?'r sous and daughters-in-law in Philadelphia. These parents at once visit each other* agree to the match, and communicate, their wishes to their children. Somo v °ry amusing scones fellow. Eventnnllv the French grandparents' wishes are carried out. The picture provides a delightful fouricel comedy-drama, which is excellently staged and acted. The supporting films are all tip to date, providing plenty of variety aqd amusement for patrons of this popular bouse. 'They include the latest 'Gazette' and "The Muffled Bell" (a drama). EVERYBODY'S. The current week's offering at Everybody's should be the means of drawing big houses. There are two headline attractions, the first being Clara Kimball Young in ' The Heart.of the Blue Ridge,' a drama in' five acts. Clara plays the part Vf Plutina, a cpuntryv girl, who has two, lovers—one Zeke, a young farmer, and the other Dan Hodges, who secretly operates «n illicit still. Dan is reputed by Plutina, and by way of revenge kills her bear. This leads to trouble, swearing to punish Dan. There is a fight* and Dan gets the worst of it. The still is destroyed, and Dan vows vengeance on Zeke. Near the finish Pluntina is captured and carried off to tho mountains bv Dan and his outlaws. She flatly refuses- to marrv Dan. There is a fight between Dan and Zeke, and Plutina is saved from an awful death. The second feature is Charlie Chaplin in the 2.CCOft of comedv farce •Charlie's New job.' In this film the great comedian is at his best. The supporting films include ' Eclair Journal.' PLAZA. The chief attraction at the Plaza to-day among a variety of new subjects is the "World Film Corporation's " production ' Man of the Hour.' a five-act film which contains numerous exciting incidents. The film story is- based upon the drama written by George Broadhurst. Other films on the bill include 'Black Box' (14th episode). ' Impressions of Rome' (scenic), and the Keystone'scream, 'Mabel's Bare Escape.' Altogether the programme is a most entertaining one. The new programme at tho Empire Theatre is lifted to a high plane by the star film 'My Madonna,' iu which the famous 'actress Olga Petrava does magnificent work. An emotional problem play, 'Fatherhood,' is the prime attraction at the Grand Picture Palace. At The Octagon and tho King Edward Theatre to-night there will bo: revealed the beautiful and enthralling poem-drama 'The Lily and tho Rose,' in which' Lillian Gi=h and Roszika Dolly are featured. At the King Edward tho. picture will be shown tonight, to-morrow night, and on Wednesday, but at The Octagon it will be shown only to-night and on Wednesday night, the hail being engaged to-morrow nig-ht.
