This total has been increased hv the addition of 16.498 men recruited to date this year. On only two occasions have the weekly enrolments fallen below the 1,000 mark. High-water marl; was reached in the first week in February, when 2,032 men were accepted as fit. Tho lowest weekly total was 826, in January. Since the beginning of the year recruits havo been attested at an avorace rate of 5,100 a week.
