Higginsori (Richard), a sheep shearer, last wrote from Australia 1901 saying that he was about to leave for South African gold mines, Sister Aileen Winifred asks. Wood (Amelia) was living Elizabeth street, Sydney, 50 years- ago. Cousin Mary asks.
Thomas Thompson .vas fined £5 at Palmerston North yesterday for recklessly driving a motor car while drunk. The Magistrate remarked on 'he necessity for general legislation to prevent unlicensed drivers from controlling cars. On one occasion Thompson wrecked a verandah post, ind on a second he knocked over i cab and fatally injured the horse.
