EDUCATIONAL REMITS
[SrECIAL TO THE ' STAR.'] CURIBTCHURCH, April 17. The Canterbury J'.'duccuional Institute have adopted a remit for the annual conference in favor 01 abolishing all scholarships in the primary schools, the money so saved to be spent in paying the boarding expenses of the foremost scholars. The following remit from Marlborough was cordially endorsed :-—" That this institute is of opinion that the education of the children of the Dominion is suffering very materially from moving pictures, and that better control by the Government is desired.''
