(Received April 14, at 1.45 p.m.) At the wool sales there was good competition for all classes, and prices were Harder, especially for merinos of New Zealand clips. Gear tops realised 24d, and average 20^-rl. Bradford tops command considerable inquiry, and there is a stronger tone in all sorts. Sixty-fours, 42d per lb; super sixties, 4ld; sixties, 40d; fifty-sixes, 36±d.j common fifties, 31d; forty-sixes, 28d • forties, 26d. ' ' Wheat is firm in sympathy with America, and 67s 6d is asked for New South Wales shipments per sailer, afloat. Flour is firm. Oats are very firm; apalata is not offering. Beans, quiet, tending to lower prices. Peas, quiet, but firm. Messrs Murray, Roberta, -and Co.. Ltd., have received t-'uo following wool market cablegram, dated 13th April, from their London agents:—"-Merino wool advanced 5 per cent. : sheepskins, merino, J,d to -|d; crossbred unchanged."
