THE CALL FOR MEN.
TO THE EDITOB. Sir, —I think the time has now arrived when all single men who can possibly enlist should do so. It sens dreadfiil to think that recruiting- meetings should have to be held to point out their duties to them. Are the casualty lists .not enough proof that more men are needed? If not, then nothing will be. I cannot imagine how any girl can M-alh cut with these men of military age who will not enlist, for if they are not brave enough to help to defend their country I em sure they would not be mm-h protection ns husbands. It is time the girls did their duty, and then we would not eee so many of these mor out, with :heir walking sticks under their anus, keeping appointments and so on. It would make them think that a military camp for their present address and a rifle instead of a ■walking stick would be more in keeping with the times.—l am, etc., • , Doty Mun Be Done. .Octobers. .
