PRICE OF POLLARD. The price of pollard has been advanced by 10s per ton. The quotation is now £6 10s a ton. SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, October 6. There was strong competition at the wool sales. Merinos were very firm, and there was an improved demand. Crossbreds well maintained the recent improved values, and greasy merinos made a record. 18J,d. MEAT SHIPMENTS. LONDON, October 5. The shipments of mutton from the Argentine amount to 98,000 carcasses, lamb 5,000 carcasses, frozen beef 292,000 quarters, chilled beef 97,000 quarters. WHEAT SUPPLY. LONDON, October 5. The American visible supply totals 40,275,000 bushels. Chicago December options. 98f to 100J cents; May options, 98f to lOlf cents. THE TALLOW SALES. LONDON, October 6. (Received October 7, at 8.45 a.m.) At the tallow sales 1,745 casks were offered and 1,687 sold. Mutton, fine 38s 9d, medium 355; beef, fine 38s 3d, medium 35s 6d.
