SALE OF WORK
AT ST. HILDA’S:,
A sale of work was held at St. Hilda’s Collegiate School this afternoon. The proceeds of _ this sale are to go to the various mission and other societies which the school helps—narnelv, £2O a vear to help maintain, Miss Childs in the Melanesian mission field, £l2 a year to St. Mary s Orphanage, and £l2 a. year to a sister in London. There is 'every prospect that this amount and more will be raised, as the rooms are full of stalls of all kinds ■and descriptions laden with good and useful articles. Any surplus raised is to Iks viven to the patriotic funds. The following is a list of stalls and stall-holders : ■Work stall ; Aliss Danatt, assisted bv Alisses D. Preston, R. Alorris, Ah Nichols, J. Hay, and E. Wood. Art stall : Aliss P. Simpson, assisted by Alisses B. Bridgeman, E. Fvtone-AVigg, F. Simpson, and R, Wood. Old girls’ stall ; Alisses N. Wood - house, Fulton, Brent, and 'Wilkinson, Flower stall: Aliss Grace, assisted by N. Wright, L, Laidlaw, A. Darling, J. Nancarrow, A- Stronach, and four buttonhole girls. Sweets stall: Miss Glasgow, assisted by U. Tonkin, D. Balk, G. Fulton, F. Roberts, F. Small, and L. Hay. Produce stall; Aliss Simpson, assisted by N. Hinson, N. Alartin. V. Graham, and A". AVyatt. Tea stall : Aliss Boxhall and Miss Cooper, assisted by R. AVillis, H. Oheyne, M. Herbert, and P. Eamsderu Brand stall: Alise C. Beaumont.
This evening the sale will be contian>d, and an entertainment will be given by tie children of Mr E. R. Nevill. This w;R be followed by another item by Mr and Mrs A. Gardiner.
