LADIES' HOOKEY
POVERTY BAY WIN' CHAMPIONSHIP. The New Zealand ladies' hockey championship tourney was continued at Wellington on Saturday, when the seventh round was played. Poverty Bay and Wellington have yet to meet, but even if they should lose the Poverty Bay girls will secure the championship. ■Saturday's results were as follow:—Wairarapa beat Wellington, 1 goal to nil; Poverty Bay heat Wanganui, 5 goals to 1; Manawatu beat Havrke's Bay, 1 g-oal to nil.
