VERDICT FOR PLAINTIFFS

In the Supreme Court to-day the Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout) and a jury of 12 concluded tb© hearing of tho case of Joseph Mandl (Christchurch), Mrs Mandl, and Hole, Grierson, and Davis (brewers, of Timaru) v. A. D.’ Kennedy and Co., wine and spirit merchants, ’Wellington. This was a claim of £503 15s 7d, return of deposit on account of the purchase of a lease of the United Service Hotel, Christchurch, and defendants counter-claimed for £7OO commission alleged to be due fori having found a purchaser of the lease. The jury brought in a verdict for plaintiffs for £SOO. ' The jury returned a verdict on the issues submitted to them as followsWas there an express stipulation made between A. D.
