Mr Cossentine, late chief officer of the Kauri, has resigned from the Union Company's service in order to take command of the Napier Harbor Board’s dredge. Captain Muir has resumed command of the Blackball Company’s collier Ngaknta, relieving Captain P. J. Dowell, who has reverted to his former position as chief officer of the Ngahere. Captain Bilton is taking the Pukaki over to Melbourne, whore she will be delivered. to her new owners, Messrs Win. Crosby and Co., who have purchased the vessel from the Union Company. An exchange. states that the Pukaki will probably run between Ocean Island and Australian ports. : | THE FERRY SERVICE. The Wahine. from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 6.50 this morning, and connected with the first express for the south. OVERSEA STEAMERS.
